Emeis Municipal Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located on 155 acres of gently rolling terrain on the western boundary of Davenport, Iowa.
Emeis Municipal Golf Course first opened for play in 1961.
The course has tree-lined fairways and fairly large, sloping greens. A number of short par 4s requires many golfers to hit irons from the tees.
The signature hole is #5, a 130-yard, par 3, which forces golfers to carry the tee shot over a pond to a green that slopes from back to front and is protected by a sand bunker located right behind the green.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,586 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,561 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-5 that plays to 548 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 149 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 441 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 11, a 336 yard par-4.

I play this course frequently. The price is right and you can use every stick in the bag. The is very little water on this course, but they have added a lot of bunkers to make it more challenging.

Good layout, rough was tall in some spots, burnt out in others. Been a tough late summer, pretty dry. Fairways were shaggy and typical slow poa greens (not terribly slow). Never finished round, after 4 hours and 14 minutes, walked off after putting out on 14. Never seen a ranger or player's assistant all day.
